  1. Where will my ad appear on LawGuru.com?
    The Ads will appear throughout the LawGuru.com KnowledgeBase section - which is the most popular section of the site. The ads themselves are targeted by the area of law and states that are selected when the ad is created. They appear in four different sections of the LawGuru.com KnowledgeBase.
    1. On the question confirmation page when a visitor asks a question within your state and practice area.
    2. Above the search results when a visitor searches the Q&A database for a topic in your state and practice area.
    3. On all Q&A pages within your state and practice area.
    4. Above the search results when a visitor searches the Attorney Directory for an attorney in your state and practice area. 
  2. How soon will my ad appear on LawGuru.com?
    Once you create and pay for your ad, we review the ad to make sure it complies with our terms and conditions and to make sure the links work and that is displays properly in all the selected areas. On weekdays the review process can take up to 24 hours and it may take longer on weekends. Once we review and approve your ad, it will immediately appear on LawGuru.com.
  3. How does this advertising system work?
    Our advertising system allows you to place ads in targeted sections of the LawGuru.com site. The process for doing so is very simple and only takes a few minutes from start to finish.
    1. Create an advertiser account on Lawguru.com
    2. Select the states and practice areas you want your ad to appear in
    3. Create your advertisement by typing a headline and text for the ad.
      • You can optionally upload a picture to use with your ad.
    4. Once you ad is finalized you can submit your payment for the ad online. You may pay via credit card or check.
    5. Once your advertisement is approved by the LawGuru team, it will appear on the site.
  4. How do I pay to advertise on the site?
    Our advertising system offers you the option to pay online via Credit Card (we accept VISA, MasterCard, AMEX and Discover) and via check. Ads paid for online via credit card generally go online within 24 hours on weekdays.
  5. How often will my ad appear on LawGuru.com?
    It depends on which area of law and state you selected your ad to appear in. While we can't predict how often your ad will be seen, we will provide you with real time statistics that track how many times your ad was viewed and clicked on. You can view this data by date, state, and area of law.
  6. Will my ad appear on the entire LawGuru.com site?
    No. Because of the level of targeting we offer, your ads will appear in various sections of the LawGuru.com KnowledgeBase http://www.lawguru.com/cgi/bbs/ . This section is the largest lawGuru.com section and gets the most traffic.
  7. Will I be the exclusive advertiser in each section (i.e. state and category)?
    Currently we allow more than one advertiser per category of law and state. However, we monitor the amount of traffic in each section and might limit the number of attorneys that can advertise in a particular state and area of law.
  8. Can I edit my ad after it is submitted?
    You are not able to directly edit an ad once it has been submitted, paid for and made live. However, if for any reason you need to edit the ad, you can contact us and we will make the change for you.
  9. What if I want a different ad for each state or practice area?
    Our system allows you to select multiple states and areas of law for your ad to appear in. However, the same ad will appear for all the states and areas of law. If you want each area of law and/or state to have a different ad, you will need to create a separate ad for each. Please note that this option (separate ads for separate areas of law) is a little more expensive than using the same ad. For example if you selected California Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury and displayed the same ad the cost would be $125/month. However, if you wanted to display one ad for California Workers' Compensation and a different ad for California Personal Injury, it would cost $200/month.
  10. How can I renew my ad?
    You will receive a reminder to renew by email before your ad expires. When you are ready to renew your ad, you can log in to the advertiser control panel and select the "Renew" option for the ad you would like to renew. Then you select the number of months you would like to renew your ad for, and submit your payment.
  11. Does the advertising system allow you to use pictures?
    Yes. Our advertising system displays a picture in the ad. You can upload your own photo or other graphic via our interface. Our software will automatically resize the picture to display in the correct size. If you don't have your own picture to use, you can use the default picture we provide.
