WilksLaw was founded by Misty Wilks in 1998. She graduated from the University of Southern California in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. In 1997, she graduated from Howard University School of Law.
Ms. Wilks took and passed the CA Bar exam on the first attempt in 1997. In 2000, she took and passed the Maryland Bar. In January 2009, she was sworn into the District of Columbia bar. She is also admitted to the Federal Court for the federal District of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
WilksLaw has successfully settled numerous personal injury and car accident cases and settled against Nationwide for more than 6 figures. The practice is now focused on foreclosure defense and prevention, loan modifications and bankruptcy.
The Vasser Wilks Group was founded by Ms. Wilks in 2007. VW Consults is a division of that group. A variety of consultants work diligently to address all clients business needs. We do business plans, start-ups/incorporation, contract and lease drafting and negotiation, business advice, corporate seminars, employee training in how to protect your company and all your other business needs.
