Linda Stanch is an attorney in downtown Manhattan who worked for the NYC Department of Law and other agencies for 16 years. As such she is fully familiar with all issues pertaining to agencies of the City of New York, particularly as to employment issues, both union employees and middle management employees. She only represents employees. Recently she has been working with clients regarding whistleblower protection, particularly from employers in the Wall Street area that are regulated by the SEC and have additional new protections under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act enacted in December of 2003 (the WorldCom reaction by Congress). She also specializes in Discrimination Law in the areas of race, ethnic origin, sex, disability, family leave act, both in federal and NY State and NYC Law. New York City also is one of the few areas in the country that has both state and city law which includes discrimination law protection for sexual orientation and the perception of sexual orientation, protecting Lesbians, Gays, BiSexuals, and Transgender (LGBT) individuals. Federal Law does not protect regarding sexual orientation. She also is litigating issues for small businesses regarding website libel and non competition clauses from prior employers.
