Additional Information D. Alexander Floum is an experienced intellectual property attorney. Alex teaches intellectual property law to practicing lawyers and law school students. He is the President of the Intellectual Property Section of the Contra Costa Bar Association.

Alex prepares state, federal and foreign trademark applications, copyright applications, and the full range of intellectual property agreements.

Alex also litigates infringement, counterfeiting, unfair competition, unfair business practice and related intellectual property cases in state and federal court.

Alex has represented a wide variety of clients including traditional companies, software developers, financial news providers, entertainment-related businesses, and internet companies. He commenced his legal career with the prestigious firm of McCutchen, Doyle.

Alex is the head of the intellectual property section at The Williams Law Firm, which provides full-service legal support to its clients, with special expertise in the following areas:
