Additional Information I have a general practice of the law with emphasis in the areas noted.
I have an expertise in adoption law, especially concerning unusual adoption issues,
contested and difficult adoptions. I am one of the authors for Adoption Law
and Practice, and update many of the adoption-related chapters in Matthew
Bender's California Family Law. A significant part of my practice concerns adoption law issues
of different types, and general family law (dissolutions, guardianships, adoptions, juvenile
dependency actions, etc.).

However, my practice also includes advice to and representation of small businesses, and
a wide variety of real estate matters (I hold a California Broker's license), both transactional
and litigation. My litigation practice includes representation of plaintiffs and defendants
in many different types of lawsuits.

I also provide counsel on a number of consumer issues, including drafting and review of
contracts (former instructor of Contracts Law at Oakland College of the Law) and formation
of partnerships, LLC's, corporations and other small businesses.
