Additional Information Prior to establishing his own law practice, Jacob gained significant experience in California labor and employment law while practicing in the labor and employment departments of a well-respected, boutique business law firm based in Los Angeles as well as a large, international law firm with more than 2400 lawyers practicing in 35 offices on five continents.

Jacob is an experienced and highly-skilled employment law practitioner. He has represented California employers in litigation involving allegations of wage and hour violations, wrongful termination, harassment, retaliation, and discrimination based on age, race, sex, national origin, and disability.

In addition to his extensive experience in labor and employment law, Jacob is also a talented litigator in general. He has experience in many aspects of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting written discovery, taking and defending depositions, preparing and arguing motions, appearing in court, attending mediations, engaging in settlement negotiations, drafting settlement agreements, and preparing for trial.

Jacob received his B.A. in Political Science from Yale College in 2003 and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2007. While at Yale, he worked for a summer at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, Egypt and studied abroad at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. He served as the Executive Articles Editor for the Journal of Legislation during law school.
