William A. Healy began his legal career in 1982 as an Assistant District Attorney with the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. During his six and one half year tenure, Mr. Healy served in both white collar crime and street crime bureaus. His responsibilities encompassed every phase of criminal practice, including grand jury investigations, motion practice, pre-trial hearings and trials, and appellate brief writing and oral argument.
From 1989 to 1993, Mr. Healy worked as an in-house counsel to Prudential Securities, Inc., a large broker-dealer. There, he was responsible for representing the firm in arbitration hearings, responding to regulatory inquiries, handling recruiting and employment related cases, and supervising outside counsel on a wide variety of securities cases.
In 1993, Mr. Healy went into private practice in Maryland, where he specializes in general securities litigation. Mr. Healy is admitted to practice in both Maryland and New York.
