By way of history, Heller Immigration Law Group, LLP, also known as 'HILG', has been in business for 25+ years. We use the latest immigration and case management systems. Our firm is headquartered in the SF Bay Area, Silicon Valley and in Palo Alto, CA specifically, but we are national in scope with associate offices throughout the U.S. and abroad.

We have always emphasized business and employment-based immigration, but are well-equipped to handle immediate relative, marriage and family-based cases - as well as applications for U.S. citizenship.

Our reputation is of a service-oriented immigration law firm, which can not only handle in an expeditious manner the HR/corporate type caseloads, but the extraordinary – often unique matters that come up that need experienced counsel.

We are particularly adept at EB1/NIW matters for exceptional, outstanding, and extraordinary ability individuals and for expeditiously and successfully obtaining PERM labor certification (without DOL audits).

H1B cases, like all immigration matters, have become even more complex and scrutinized so that employers must not only take care that the case is professional handled, but also be be particularly careful to keep accurate records in caes of later USCIS or DOL ‘audits’. More and more, companies are looking at alternative temporary ‘work visas’ - such as TN and even J-1 Trainees and Interns.

On a more personal note, we (and our associated attorneys) like to be involved in structured and 'funded' entrepreneurial ventures (board of advisors, etc.); if you are interested in getting us involved, or have opportunities you'd like to discuss, we’ll generally be inclined to 'explore' the possibilities with you; we also have lots of connections and friends that can often help.

As stated above, we have enlisted some brilliant, very connected. and truly motivated attorney friends, many who came from a large law firm background, but who now have “seen the light”, and who, in associated group that we put together, are willing to take on 'general counsel’ and other legal duties on behalf of new ventures, startup companies, and entrepreneurs, for a relatively small monthly fee+ (plus 'incentives') or other agreed upon remuneration.

Formulating early and proper legal protections are paramount as companies move into the web (and want legal protections).

General Counsel Services (another ‘flat fee’ way to go)

Others often want us to act as temporary ‘general counsel’ (at a fixed monthly charge) in the early months of operation or in a later funded ‘start up’ phase (when having counsel ‘handy’ to discuss legal questions, strategies and/or other issues is important; in this regard, often ‘our role’ is to talk for our client and handling issues such as: formalizing negotiations, speaking with potential venture or strategic partners, helping with collections, settlements, etc.).

We are also constantly asked by clients and client referrals to review existing business contracts, looking over RE documentation & leases, negotiating and drafting buy/sell, and many other issues. We are also franchise experts.
