Terms & Conditions of Use

1) GRANT OF LICENSE

LawGuru.com’s Attorney Network is a service provided by WebsiteBroker, Inc. By participating in the Attorney Network, you understand that your answers to questions submitted by our users are going to become part of the Lawguru.com Knowledge Base answer database, which we can use in any form on this website and the websites of our affiliates and partners. By posting or submitting material on the Knowledge Base or the LawGuru Legal Forums, you grant WebsiteBroker, Inc. and LawGuru.com a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive right (including any moral rights) and license to use, reproduce, edit, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, communicate to the public, perform and display the submitted content (in whole or in part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed, for the full term of any rights that may exist in the content.

2) ETHICAL RULES

LawGuru.com makes no representation as to whether the ethical rules in your state or jurisdiction allows or prohibit participation in this type of attorney network. You agree that you are solely responsible for determining and interpreting the rules/laws or your state or jurisdiction with regard to your participation.

3) GOOD STANDING

By applying and participating in the LawGuru.com Knowledge Base you are representing to us that you are an attorney in good standing and are licensed to practice law in the state(s) and or country you have indicated in your application. Providing false or incomplete information will result in being barred from the system.

4) SOLICITATION OF CLIENTS AND INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT

You agree that you will not post replies to questions in the Knowledge Base or the Legal Forums solely containing a solicitation for representation without providing a meaningful answer to a question. You should only reply to questions arising out of the jurisdictions for which you are licensed to practice, unless it is a federal question.

You further agree that you will not use the LawGuru Knowledge Base or LawGuru Legal Forums to post any advertisement or other commercial message. You agree that you will not post any knowingly false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, harassing, obscene, sexually oriented or threatening message or material that is illegally invasive of another person's privacy. LawGuru.com and WebsiteBroker, Inc. will attempt to delete any inappropriate posts as quickly as possible; however, the submissions are generally posted in real-time and are typically not reviewed by LawGuru.com or its editorial staff before they are posted to the site.

5) INDEMNIFICATION

You agree that you are solely responsible for anything you post on the LawGuru Knowledge Base or LawGuru Legal Forums and that you agree to indemnify and hold harmless LawGuru.com, WebsiteBroker, Inc., its owners and employees with respect to any claims based upon your posts/submissions to the LawGuru Knowledge Base or LawGuru Legal Forums.

6) DISCONTINUATION OF PARTICIPATION

Should you wish to discontinue your participation in the Attorney Network, you agree to follow the simple steps to go inactive or delete your profile provided at www.lawguru.com/cgi/bbs/helpattorneys.html . You agree not ask us to remove your profile or delete your membership as we have provided you with tools to do so.

LawGuru.com and WebsiteBroker, Inc. reserve the right to discontinue this service and/or any attorney’s participation in this service at any time, for any reason, with or without notice.

7) MODIFICATION OF TERMS

These terms and conditions may be modified by us at any time without prior notice. LawGuru.com contains links to other websites for which LawGuru.com does not maintain control. Any concerns regarding any such service or resource, or any link thereto, should be directed to the particular service or resource. Continued use of this site following any change constitutes your acceptance of the change.

You further agree to abide by all other term of use and disclaimers governing this website.
