Responsible for what repairs? We can't guess what you mean. Regardless, what did your inspector say when he/she did a full, thorough inspection of the house before you bought it? You did have one, right? Did the seller take steps to hide defects that you could not find with an inspection, or provide some kind of warranty (which would be extremely rare)? Like many things, when you buy something you are assumed to know what you are buying and accept it "as is." Otherwise, no one knows the details you failed to include.

It depends on a variety of factors. It will be very difficult for an attorney to determine whether you can hold the company liable for the repairs without first (i) understanding what type of repairs we are talking about, (ii) reviewing the purchase and sale agreement and the closing documents, and (iii) exploring any written or oral representations/disclosures/warranties the seller may have given you at or prior to closing. Generally no. Normal real estate contracts say you buy a house as is, and some even give you the option to have the house inspected. No one should ever buy a house without (1) their own home inspection, (2) owners (not lenders) title insurance, and (3) a lawyer reviewing the contract (NOT the closing lawyer).

To have rights now, you would have to show a misrepresentation in the contract or have a warranty. Since no one here has read the paperwork, no one knows what you have. See a lawyer to see if you have recourse.
