iam not divorced or married but i have been living with somone for 28 yrs i was wondering is there a common law husband in mass .

Just to second attorney Roth's answer, there is no common law marriage in Massachusetts. Hopefully you have some sort of written agreement - a domestic partnership agreement - that might help define the rights and responsibilities of the parties. If not, you may want to start that discussion.

In the event that your relationship is coming to an end, you may want to sit down with an attorney to see if the parties can voluntarily come up with an agreement that would provide for the orderly distribution of property, debt, and help in the dissolution of the non-marital relationship.
