It would be a serious breach of legal ethics for a single law firm to represent clients whose interests are in conflict. It is legally inappropriate for any law firm to represent parties on both sides of a controversy. If you have proof that this is the case, then whomever was the first client stays, and the other has to go. IF you encounter difficulty, a call to the State Bar of New Mexico offers help for such situations. You can call them. |
