Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I've received a summons on a defaulted credit card. It lists CONTRACTS AND INDEBTEDNESS. The only thing attached to the summons was a really old statement.

Shouldn't I have received a copy of the contract too?

You should have received a Complaint with the Summons. You can demand

a copy of the contract in your Answer to the Complaint but it isn't required to be

served with the Complaint. Usually, you must answer within 20 days.

You should have received a Complaint as well. Failure to serve you with the Complaint could be grounds for dismissal.
