If he has no prior record and he pleas out, he can expect a continuation without a finding (CWOF) with 6-12 months of probation. Before making a decision to plea, however, he should consult with an attorney to determine any defenses and/or pretrial strategies he may have.

You need to consult an attorney immediately. Your question is what will happen. He will be arraigned on Monday or Tuesday. From there you will pick a pretrial date. Plan on one court date per month, with a possibility of 2-3 pretrial dates before you determine whether to go to trial or consider changing your plea.

Disorderly, resisting and ABPO are very common overcharges. I have taken three to juries in the past 2 years, all of which resulted in a Not Guilty. Of the 50 or more court appointed cases like these I've handled in the past 4 years, I have probably pled less than 10% of those cases on all counts.

If your son suffered any injuries during the arrest, you should take photos immediately, and you should get any friends or witnesses with helpful accounts to write them down.

Bottom line, you should engage an attorney and vigorously defend the case until you know you cant. My firm would be glad to help, but there are plenty of talented lawyers out there--just make sure they do substantial amounts of district court criminal defense.

The disorderly conduct does not concern me as much as the A and B on a police officer and resisting arrest. The fact that your son does not have a prior record should help him if or when he takes a plea.
