Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I dont have standard visitation with my kids, even tho i pay for child support and health insurance. i hired an attorney to modify our custody because i dont get them as much as i should by texas state law. everything i have asked for my exwife has said no she isnt doing. i am not asking for anything extreme ( xample i havnt seen my girls on christmas day in 6 years now) and a few years ago she moved my kids an hours drive away with my job i lost my thursday visitaiton and i am having to drive to pick them up and bring them home. so i asked her to split it with me. there are alot more things this is just a few, ever since i filed for this she has cut off all communication with me and wont let me speak to my girls. this has been going on for over a year and her attorney asked for discovery papers which i provided, which i know she is just wanting more $ and my attorney hasnt done anything for me. i really dont know what to do anymore i know that my girls will be better living with me but i cant get any help i guess cause im a father. any suggestions?

It should not be because you are a father. It may be that you need to have a sit-down meeting with your attorney and discuss your concerns. You should be able to trust and respect the advice of your attorney. Since you are represented by counsel, I cannot comment on the specifics of your situation. If you cannot resolve your problems with your attorney, consider retaining new counsel. It is important to have an honest discussion, however, as sometimes an attorney is not aware of a client's concerns. He/she may believe that you do not want higher legal fees, and therefore not as aggressive as you want.
