my wife of 29 years was just awarded a $25,000.00 disability settlement and $1,250.00 a month forever. Am I entitled to any of these funds in a divorce ?

You're probably entitled to half of the back pay. Wages (including disability) are considered a marital asset, and marital assets are equally divided in a divorce. It would be just like dividing a savings account. |
