Legal Question in Banking Law in India

I had an sbi card long time ago. The last payment in it was made 5years ago and thereafter no payment has been made. I defaulted on the card and I could not pay. Now a collection agency is calling my parents, relatives and everyone else possible and trying 5o get me to settle the credit card. Can they ask for a settlement legally after 5 years also. How can I make them stop from bothering my parents and relatives?

Surely, the sbi cannot. The period is three yrs in which they can file claim.
