what is the time limitation under the instrument act as per section 138 for filing the criminal case.

Dear Sir / Madam,
The time limit for filing a suit under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1938 by the Drawee for recovery of amount of a bounced cheque is one month from the date of intimation of cheque dishonour by the Bank to the Drawee.
