Dear Sir / Madam,

The phrases "I was trying to resign" and "I want to resign" in your query indicate that you are not sure whether to resign or not. If you had made up your mind to resign from the Company and were firm on your decision to quit, you should have straightaway submitted your resignation letter clearly mentioning the last date of service therein along with a request to the Company to settle your full and final settlement dues. If you have done so, the Company has no other choice or locus standi, but to accept your resignation. Now, if you have evidence to the effect that you have submitted your resignation to the Company and the notice period thereafter has already been served by you in the Company, you should inform the Company accordingly in writing and request for settlement of your full and final dues.

Regards,
