Legal Question in Business Law in India

There are six tenants in a lease in LA, CA. Three of them went to another premises. Three more went to another. They sublet it to six persons prior to completion of lease period. Before signing sublease one sublessee left the premises at the instigation of first three lessees. These first three lessees are blackmailing the second set of three original lessees to pay the rent of the sixth sublessee who went away without signing sublease. The lessees are all students. The second set of lessees are not financially capable of bearing the brunt of the first three lessees. How can they avoid paying extra amount of left - sub lessee?

Dear Madam / Sir,

I am reminded of the famous English saying : "Birds of a feather flock together". At each and every break in lease or at the time of its completion, whichever is earlier, the Owner / landlord of the tenanted / leased premises comes into the picture based on the tenancy / lease agreement. The original six lessees remain liable to pay the lease charges to the Owner / landlord till the completion of the lease period, irrespective whether they occupy the premises or sublet the premises it to six or five other sub lessees, if sub-letting is permitted as per the prevailing local tenancy rules, or as per the terms and conditions as contained in their original Leave & License / Lease Agreement. Your best way ahead is to immediately search and find the replacement for the sixth sub lessees who has left the premises.

Regards,
