Legal Question in Technology Law in India

My current company is not providing me a reliving letter. I need it very urgently for my new JOB. they have 2 locations (i.e. LA is main location and LB is division of LA in located in other locations). I was working in LB, now they closed LB and moved to LA. I'm not ready to move to LA for my personal reasons and health issues.

Agreement says 2 months notice. But I need it in next 10 days for my new JOB. they are not even providing buy-off option. I'm ready to pay for notice pay.

Dear Sir . Madam,

Since the Company has closed down its Division, you are free to put in your papers and move on. In no way can the Company force that you serve the two month notice period, as you are legally entitled to buy out the notice period. Serving 10 days of notice period itself is sufficient to hand over charge to the person instructed by the Company to take over from you. The new Company ought to be impressed by your caliber and credentials rather than adamantly insist on the relieving letter from your present Company. Since your career is at stake, you should convince your Company to relieve you with the 10 days notice.

Regards,
