Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

one of commercial firm issued a legal notice to me u/s 180 of N.I,Act and sec. 420 I.P.C. regarding cheque bounced Rs.1,20,000/- and that cheque was bounced on 26.08.2013 and after that firm issued me a legal notice on 23.09.2013. we both the party verbally settled the dues by paying through installments but he does not give any receipt and he promised me to return the bounced cheque after paying last dues of Rs 10000/-.In the mean time he lodged a case in S.D.J.M COURT,KHURDA,ORISSA and a summon was issued on dt.16.05.2014 to attend the court in person on 24.06.2014. Then what shall I do?

Dear Sir / Madam,

You should produce all evidences in Court of having settled and repaid all outstanding dues against the bounced cheque and you should counter sue the opponent for mental harassment for not returning back the bounced cheque instrument to you.
