Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pakistan

Dear Sir,

please help me I issued cheques in advance to the party for purchasing raw material without any written agreement and party refused to give me raw material. The party is now blackmailing me to give them money for return of my cheques otherwise they will lodge an FIR against me. There is no written agreement. Please advise me what preemptive measures i can take to avoid case against me.

submit an appliaction before Bank Manager and ask him to hold the cheque when presented before the bank, file a suit for cancellation if heque in civil court.
