I need an info, if i got khula in lahore and marriage was registered in islamabad then in which union council should i go to get the divorce certificate? and how many days it will take to proceed? I got the khula certificate last year . during that time we thought to have a reconcile but it didnt happen. now i want to get divorce certificate as early as possible so please guide me how can i get it as soon as possible?

in fact when you get khula decree by court , a copy is officially sent to the concerned unioin counsel for necessary proceedings . union counsel proceedings takes minimum 90 days for conciliation and finally takes the decision in the light of conciliation meetings. in you case i must have some more information for a specific answer.you can contact me by phone during office hours: 0323 4638149

you will get the certificate from Islamabad. if process of reconciliation has already been taken , then 3 days are sufficient.

Its best that you obtain talaq certificate from the arbitration council in the jurisdiction of court from where u obtained khula decree.. For more [email protected]

You may approach Union Council for obtaining Talaq/ Divorce Certificate from the arbitration council in the jurisdiction of Family Court from where you got Khula decree.
