i am a hindu married womanfor last three years.i want to know that do i have right according to hindu marriage act to receive the dowry gifts and other gifts which i got in my marriage as they have been taken by my in laws just after my marriage.

Both under HMA and under another law you can receive back the dowry items from in laws....

Yes, all the gifts constitute your 'ISTRIDHAN' and you may file a complaint with local police under section 406 IPC....
