The maintenance amount is not always dependent upon your IT Return.

It is the amount required for maintaining your spouse. You may do over-time, you may earn from your previous savings/investments, or you may have income from ancestral property; there are several sources of income which are not disclosed in ITR.

If you really want me to guide you about reduction of the maintenance amount because you do not have any other income except that mentioned in your ITR, you may write me separately details about your living and marriage life in an e-mail for appropriate opinion or you may reiterate in a separate question here.

Challenge the maintainence order in higher court. There are ways to get maintainence reduced.
