Legal Question in Family Law in India

Because the police did not register 498A against the inlaws of my daughter (step mother and Father in law), the delay costed us FIR on the false complaint lodged by the father in law (daughter and boy are together and residing in my house now). The FIL and step MIL are also charged with 354 among other sections.
Can i lodge a complaint against the inspector of the station ( i have my complaint copies which were not acted upon by police) either with his higher ups or in the court. What will happen later - will he or we be in trouble?

You should have to hire either an advocate at there or authorizes me to to take action in the matter.
