sir, i got married 3yrs ago. i have a child 1.5yrs age. my husband and inlaws before marriage promised me for my further education. but after marriage i got various types mental of tortures that i hide from my father. my father had rtired recently and the mental torture has increased for obvious reasons of dowry. when i filed a case in womens welfare office, my husband filed a case of divorce, which i dont want to take for sake of my childs future. my husband is forcing me to sign on divorce papers, as he wants to marry another girl. sir they ruined my life, i dont want the same happen to some another girl... what should i do.??
if suppose i agree on divorce, will i get any compensation.? will my child get share in his fathers property??
pls suggest some thing. thank you

please dont gign any papers for divorce. Are you staying with him or living seperately. you are entitled to maintainence and so is your child. You have a right to live in the matrimonial home in a peaceful manner wherein also you will be liable for maintainence. consult a lawyer and know about your right. for further query call at 9312411481.
Try to register FIR under section 498A IPC against your husband and in laws for cruelty and contest the case of divorce.
