Legal Question in Family Law in India

We are situated in a JOINT family. One person from outside did a complain at west Bengal high court against our land that means case against us. Now due to some quarrel between two families one family are wanting to separate his family by land division law but another family do not. Is it possible
????

If one family is seeking partition than land needs to be partitioned.
