Legal Question in Family Law in India

My wife filed false 498a on entire family and i am NRI living outside India. Its been over 6 months and after 5 court sessions still my parents did not get AB and every time on one or other pretext like compromise or anything my parents lawyer gets Interim bail. Now it seems that our lawyer is deliberately getting Interim bail to extract more money from old parents instead of getting regular bail.

Is there any possibility for them to change the lawyer during this time ? Also the lawyer is putting pressure on parents to pay up a huge settlement amount and i have not signed any vakalatnama with this lawyer so is it possible for me to get another lawyer to fight my case separately ?

You can change the lawyer if you are not satisfied by his services. However, it is strange that your old and aged parents are not getting regular bail in this case. Where is your case pending? You can go for a separate lawyer and need to send a power of attorney duly attested by the notary.

Please check with your parents what are the arguments/ deliberations and discussions in court that result in AB every time. You can appoint a lawyer of your choice to defend you. The Power of attorney should mention appointing lawyer etc. It has to be attested by the Consulate.
