Legal Question in Immigration Law in India

i was in the UK on a student visa for a couple of years. but in the end i overstayed my visa due to the delay in university results. i was taken by the UK border agency and kept in detention for a month. during that period my lawyer applied for my asylum on my behalf without consulting me, i guess, just to delay my deportation. but 'coz there was no genuine case for asylum it was refused and i was sent back to india. i believe there is a ban on my entry to the UK. although i don't know how long the ban is, i am told it is generally for 2 to 5 years.

now i'd like to know what my chances are of getting a visa (student or employment) to any other non-european country such as US, Singapore etc.

Once you overstay a visa in one country, your records are shared with too many other countries who refuse to admit anyone with a record of visa and/or immigration violations. i will need more details to advice you further.
