Is Individual IPR on curriculum and its operations, valid when it is used by a University?

Dear Sir / Madam,

Knowledge material in any written or electronic form or nature is not normally or usually patented to be eligible for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). If the knowledge has been assimilated and gained as a student of the University, it is obvious that the University will enjoy the right to use the material in its course curriculum.
