Legal Question in Employment Law in India

I was an officer in a nationalised bank. When I retired in Nov 2012 disciplinary action was pending against me. The bank had not suffered any loss but the case was for procedural irregularity only. Case was referred to CVC and their advice came very late to the bank and delayed the finalisation. Now last month the case has been finalised with a punishment to reduce my basic pay by one stage. With this order the gratuity, encashment of leave etc have been released to me. However no interest for nearly two years is paid. Whether I can claim? If so how to proceed?

Dear Sir / Madam,

Since you have not been acquitted entirely without any lapse on your part by way of being punished with a reduction of one increment, I have doubts whether the Bank will entertain your claim to interest for the delay in the settlement of your dues. However, you may still try and submit your claim for interest to the Bank.

Regards,
