Legal Question in Employment Law in India

I have worked for one of the Big IT company in pune for 4.5 years , I have left the organization this August and have joined client company. Now from my previous employer I came to know that I cant join a client company as per the joining agreement for 2 years and due to which they have hold my experience and resignation letters and also my final settlement.

When I have gone through my joining letter of my previous employee there it was written that we cannot join any of the client company till 2 years, now that I have joined the client company.

I have served my complete notice period and this clause is mentioned only in my joining letter only. So ,Can you please advise if I can go legally on my previous employer to get my Experience and resignation letters and also my final settlement.

Thanks in advance

Dear Sir / Madam,

Since it is clearly mentioned in your Appointment Letter that you cannot join a client Company, you have a weak case if you file one against the Company, You should politely request the Company to pay and settle your dues.
