Legal Question in Employment Law in India

I am working in an IT organisation which I joined on 11 Jan 2016.There was an agreement signed up which said I have to serve them for an year failing which I will have to pay them three months gross salary amount.I had to resign from my organisation on 15 October 2016 and have to serve a notice period of two months from this day.Now my organisation today said that they are withholding my salary as I am under service agreement. Can something be done in this case.I was not informed anything about withholding the money in such case and feeling like what's the point of serving the notice period then? Please help.

Dear Sir / Madam,

An employer is required to pay salary to the employee for all the days that the employee has served in the organisation. It is evident that the employer is not going to pay you salary for the remaining notice period you serve and they are going to recover it from your full and final settlement dues, So, if you have no pending work left in the Company, you should straightaway move on to your next assignment and ask the Company to settle your full and final dues.

Regards,
