I have got a rented house in the rs 1 lakh with rent rs 7300 per month and electric charges rs 400 to 500 approximately in the area entally kolkata (west bengal). Now broker wants 2 months rent . Is this fair with us?

1) Whether two months rent as brokerage is fair or not is not the question. It depends upon ur understanding with the broker and the practice/ custom prevailing in Entally. There is no hard and fast rule. Even three month rent also is demanded in some parts of Kolkata and Mumbai.

2) Two months rent is certainly reasonable according to me. However, make enquiries and pay accordingly.
