Whether in the State of Goa, Leave & Licence Agreement of a commercial premises for a period of 6 years, requires registration before the Sub-Registrar or such Agreement can be executed before the Notary ?

Dear Sir / Madam,

Registration of an Agreement for Leave and License (ALL) of less than a year's duration is optional. An ALL exceeding a year's duration has to be compulsorily stamped and registered.

If it has a termination clause at will i.e. that any party may terminate the license by giving notice to the other party within XXX month/days then it need not require registration vide 2000(1)198 at page 203 Sengappa VsArumbatha... You may drop in a detailed query at [email protected]
