Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
can the old tenant transfer his tenancy to his son and grand son without consent from his legal heirs brothers and sisters.he has not lived in this house for last 40years, but his sister has lived in this house for 40 years.

Dear Sir / Madam,
No. The old Landlord-Tenant arrangement has ceased to exist since 1985 and it has been replaced since then by the Licensor-Licensee Agreement for Leave and License (ALL) for duration ranging from 11 months to maximum 3 years.
