Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Brazil

An engineer who built a building was sentenced by law to compensate through money the building owners for big mistakes in that construction.

The engineer has not paid the law-agreed payment to the building owners and took its name from its heritage, showing that he doesnt want to pay his debt.

What the owners can do to repossess their prejudice, to have their money back?

When you win a court battle and have a condemnation sentence, then you can file a petiton, asking the judge to try and do a series of acts in law prescribed.

Such proceeding is called "cumprimento de sentena" and intend the strictly fulfilment of the judicial order.

By doing so, the judge may determine seizures, taking by force not only mobile and real state properties but money directly from bank accounts held by the defendant.
