You may cite instances of part-time journalists (legal) and part-time faculty (law schools) who have been permitted by the Bar Council in several States to carry out part time activities alongwith law practice.

Insurance business may qualify under "consultancy" and may be carried out from your law offices. However, you may be careful in mixing up the business interests with your professional interests vis-a-vis your clients.
