Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I am planning to rent my flat to a foreigner who are basically from france. Regarding this I have some questions.

1. Is there any legal problems in renting the flat to a foreigner. ?

2. What are the documents I need to check before I proceed with them further. ?

3. Do I need to include any special points in the agreement along with the normal ones. ?

4. If the tenant involves in any criminal activity whether the house owner will also be liable ?

If yes, what are the precautionary measures I need to take to avoid any future problems.

Dear Sir / Madam,

1. You should check with your Society, whether giving flats on Leave and License (L&L) to foreigners is permitted and then proceed.

2. Travel and visa documents.

3. At your discretion.

4. If the criminal activity is carried out from the premises that has been given on L&L, the owner is also liable to be questioned.
