Dear MV,

A Will to be legally valid has to be signed by the Testator (Maker) in the presence of two witnesses who also need to sign confirming that the Testator has signed the Will in their presence. To be valid, a Will need not be registered. Your grandfather's Will, even if written on plain paper and signed by two witnesses is valid.

Regards,
