Legal Question in Consumer Law in Alabama

lemon law

I need to know what my rights are if I bought a car two days ago and today the engine blew. It was a used car and it was sold to me ''as is''. Do i have the right under some kind of 72 hour law to back out of the purchase or would this fall under a lemon law. Do i have tthe right to demand the car be repaired or my money and trade value back?

Re: lemon law

the lemon law in alabama deals with new cars and allows a cause of action against the manufacturer. if you buy a used car "as is" the purchaser generally has no recourse unless there was some fraud (lieing) about the condition of the car. even if there were some fraud about the condition of the car it may be very difficult to prove. please call me at 205-879-9595 if i can be of further assistance to you.
