If a guy gave me an engagement ring but he broke off the engagement, do I have to give the ring back, legally?

You have not violated any statutes in Alabama. Unless you signed some agreement you are probably ok to keep the ring. However, he may still seek some type of compensation by pursuing a claim in small claims court or district court depending on the value of the ring. |
