Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

need child support but not sure if he is father

I have a son and his ''dad'' is not on the birth certificate and i was married to another man at the time he was born, who also is not on the certificate. but i think the person i wasn't married to at the time is the father of my son. My question is since no one is on the birth certificate and no blood test have been taken, is person #1 still able to be called upon for a blood test to be tested for being the father since i was married to another at the time of the birth and if it turns out he is the father could i get child support from him?

Re: need child support but not sure if he is father

a child born during a marriage is presumed to be the child of the husband of the mother, but this presumption can be overcome by other evidence of parentage such as a blood test. the answer to your question is yes.
