Re: choosing where to live at 14

No he does not have the right exclusively to chose where he wants to live but the desires of the child are a component in any change of custody to which a court may hear on a petition for change of custody. Other consideration will be given to the opposition of the custodial parent, the relationship of the non-custodial parent and the child, opportunities for the child, payment of child support in the past, visitation in the past and the relationship of the parties.
