Divorce and Child Custody

I am currently in the Air Force and plan to divorce my husband. I am the primary caregiver for my daughter. I had a friend who lost her daughter because a judge did not think the military was a stable way of life. Can I lose her because of my military status?

custody is determined by many factors and a parents job is only one. it can be taken into consideration, but i doubt that it would be the controling factor in the judges decision
