Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Alabama

Put truck in "Daddy Can fix It" repair shop for rplcment of

head gasket; apprx 3wks later, tld by owner trck was

repaired. Paid ($600 + $500 for parts) but had 2 brng

truck right back as was not actually repaired (leaking oil

now, was not b4 and running rough). Aftr apprx 3

months passed, had to call weekly trying 2 encourage

repair but was continually put off and tld they were trying

but were too busy until 1/07.11 when the shop called and

said I needed 2 pick up my trck because they were being

evicted from the property. Not knwing wht else 2 do,

went 2 shop 2 pick up trck; all power was off in building

(no lights) & parts were missing off trck (cat converter,

gas, battery, gas cap, idler arm pulley, ???). Upset, wlkd

2 back of truck 2 push truck out of garage (pitch black, no

inclination) & fell into a mechanics pit (apprx 6 ft deep, 3 ft

wide and 6 ft long); broke 3 ribs, out of work and sore 4,

2 weeks so far. Please help, I have been robbed, takn

advantage of & injured! do I have any legal recourse?

Unfortunately, the owner probably did not have any liability insurance on the property and can not pay anything as an individual as well. As far as the missing parts, the value versus the cost to recover would probably be prohibitive and the guy again probably has nothing and all you would get would be a judgment.
