There is an outside chance you could bring the action in FL but typically an action for negligence is brought wherever the accident occurred. Most attorneys would be willing to handle this on a contingency fee basis-that is, they only get paid if they recover money for you, minus expenses for the case. There are many attorneys in this area who could handle this for you, including myself. A contingency fee arrangement could be anywhere from 25%-50% of damages awarded.
