Legal Question in Social Security Law in Alabama

Social Security disablilty case cannot get a straight answer

I have already been denied and appealed my disability case and was told it would be decided without a hearing and now they said it might be decided with a hearing. I have a lawyer and I keep getting the ruanround from everyone and cannot seem to get a straight answer on whether it will be decided with a hearing or without one. Should I contact the Social Security Administation myself to find out the straight answer and find out something definite?

If you have a lawyer, trust her or him to look out for your best interests. If you no longer trust him or her, find another attorney to represent you but SS claims can take months to resolve, so don't assume he or she is not working on it.
